Using light effectively to capture the perfect portrait

A photographer should always understand the effect of light on the image. The fact that the flash is important in capturing the perfect portrait; it may sometimes reveal the subject as unnatural or cast harsh shadows behind the subject. for a photographer to get an exemplary portrait, you should try to use ambient light or bounce light from a reflector on the side of the subjects face.

Now you can order you own light reflector with just one click!

 Capturing Great Portraits Outdoors

Another way in which a photographer may use good light to capture a portrait is by ensuring that the reflected light is less intense than the main light. When taking an outdoor portrait, the best portraits are those taken on overcast cloudy but bright day.  The reason is the fact that the clouds have the ability to diffuse the sun ensuring that the light is not extremely strong. Turning the subjects’ body away from the light at about 90 degrees also promotes the capturing of perfect portraits.
